Reading and watching other peoples trips it becomes apparent that it is quite normal to exchange of gifts with some of people you meet. We've been trying to decided what we'd like to give the people we meet! During the long way round, Ewan gives out whiskey - appropriate for a scot. But we are quintessentially english and we are really not sure! Any ideas what we can give, or what you've given? Or what your going to give?

Well we haven't given the specific idea any thought as yet, although we have discussed making sure that we do have some quintisentially English foods that we can cook and give to people we meet. As I'm sure we will be exploring other countries cuisine it would be good to return some similar things.
I think we will have 'business' cards and photos to give out, but these might be more to touts etc than kids. Pens and pencils is obviously a favourite.
I'm Cornish too, so perhaps we will touch on that theme too. Let us know what your ideas are. Probably time we starting think about this anyhow.

Two further things I have read about recently:
1. Postcarsds with either your route or your family on them 2. Balloons for the kids. Cheap, light and fun
Will post anything else we think about or find elsewhere on the web.
