Spare Parts for LR

Hi everyone. I'm leaving in Febr. 2009 for a overland trip to Asia. I'm driving a LR Defender, born in '92. Is there anyone who has tips for taking spare parts with me.

The problem with a Land Rover is that if there is something wrong with the front, you only have parts for the rear. And... if there is something wrong with the rear, you only have the parts for the front.

Hi Henk,

Do keep us posted of what you bring with you whatever the outcome here. Someone once told me you only need 3 things.

1. Gaffer to hold together things that ahve come apart
2. WD40 to prize apare things that are held together
3. A hammer - if all else fails!

In all seriousness, we haven't decided yet, but will be taking a smallish number of parts, after consulting with Foleys to see what they think we should take.
